Fossil Futures

Unearthing futures through science.

A youth-founded nonprofit inspiring the next generation through fossils, paleontology, and history.

Fossil Futures — Digging Into Tomorrow, Together

Our Mission

Authentic scientific discovery, within reach of every student.

Fossil Futures is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to paleontology and Earth science education for children and young people.

We believe authentic scientific discovery should be accessible to every student, regardless of background or geography. Through hands-on fossil kits, engaging educational programs, museum partnerships, and youth leadership, we inspire curiosity, scientific thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the history of life on Earth.

What We Do

Four ways we put science in students' hands.

01

Fossil Discovery Kits

Museum-inspired kits with real fossils, replica specimens, identification guides, classroom activities, and educator lesson plans.

  • Homeschool
02

School Outreach

Interactive presentations on fossils, evolution, dinosaurs, ancient oceans, mass extinctions, and the process of scientific discovery.

  • Ancient oceans
  • Extinctions
03

Youth Science Leaders

Students teaching students. A leadership program empowering young people to present science, run outreach events, mentor peers, and collaborate with museums.

Why Fossils?

Every fossil is a doorway into understanding our planet.

Fossils tell the story of life across billions of years. They inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific discovery — while connecting biology, geology, climate, ecology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and computer science.

Why It Matters

Many children never get to hold a real fossil.

Most students never have the opportunity to hold a real fossil or meet a paleontologist. Fossil Futures removes those barriers by creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that make science accessible to every student.

Every fossil tells a story, let's make sure every child hears it

Founder Story

"One fossil can change the way a child sees the natural world — and perhaps even inspire a future scientist."

Fossil Futures was founded by a high school student with a passion for paleontology, scientific discovery, and education. Inspired by countless hours in fossil laboratories, museums, and research collections, the organization was created to help more young people experience the excitement of authentic science.
